In memoriam: Judith Flippen-Anderson
04/03
Judy served the RCSB with 13 years of service, from directing Production and Outreach efforts as a representative of the Leadership Team to working on BioSync and the Structural Biology Knowledgebase. Building on the strength of her many relationships within the worldwide synchrotron community, her tireless efforts to collect the most accurate information possible regarding beamlines and those PDB structures studied at these facilities have made BioSync the amazing site it is today. Judy's tenure at the RCSB, full of wisdom and wit, was that of a true ambassador.
Outside of the RCSB, Judy was been an incredibly active member of the crystallographic community, particularly with the American Crystallographic Association (ACA), International Union of Crystallographers (IUCr), and American Institute of Physics (AIP) organizations. In 2011, she was named a member of the inaugural class of ACA Fellows.
